Premium walnut kernels sourced from Chile, China, and California. Light halves, pieces, and crumbs for European buyers.
Walnuts are the second most traded tree nut globally, valued for their rich omega-3 content and versatility across snacking, bakery, confectionery, and health food categories. Global production exceeds 3.5 million metric tonnes annually, with China, the USA, and Chile leading supply. Corsodoro connects European manufacturers, retailers, and food service companies with certified walnut suppliers across all major origins - offering light halves through industrial crumbs in both conventional and organic supply chains.
Walnut kernels are graded by colour (extra light, light, amber, dark) and form (halves, pieces, crumbs). Colour grading follows USDA and UNECE standards.

Corsodoro maintains direct relationships with walnut processors and exporters across the world's leading production regions.
Chile is South America's largest walnut exporter and a key supplier to Europe. The Chandler variety dominates Chilean production, prized for its light kernel colour and consistent quality. Chile's counter-seasonal harvest (March–May) provides fresh supply when Northern Hemisphere stocks are depleting. BRC and organic certification widely available.
China produces over half the world's walnuts, with Yunnan, Xinjiang, and Shaanxi as key growing regions. Chinese walnuts (Juglans regia) are available in large volumes at competitive prices. Light halves and pieces are the most exported forms. China's September–October harvest delivers to Europe from November onward.
California's Central Valley is the world's premium walnut origin, producing the benchmark Chandler variety alongside Howard and Hartley. Californian walnuts command top prices for their consistent extra-light colour and large kernel size. Harvest runs September–November. USDA grading standards. Organic supply available from dedicated orchards.
France produces premium AOC/AOP walnuts from the Grenoble and Perigord regions. Franquette and Parisienne varieties are prized for their distinctive flavour. September–October harvest. Smaller volumes but excellent for European buyers seeking short supply chains and provenance stories. EU Organic widely available.
All Corsodoro walnut supply chains are backed by internationally recognised food safety and sustainability certifications. We match your specific certification requirements with verified suppliers.

Walnut harvest seasons vary by origin, allowing Corsodoro to maintain year-round supply by rotating between hemispheres.
Processed walnut kernels are available year-round from warehoused stock. Chile's counter-seasonal harvest (Mar–May) provides fresh supply when Northern Hemisphere crops are exhausted, ensuring continuous availability for European buyers.
Corsodoro supplies Chandler walnuts from Chile and California - the most widely traded variety prized for its light kernel colour and consistent size - as well as Juglans regia varieties from China. We offer light halves, amber halves, pieces, crumbs, and walnut oil in both conventional and organic supply chains. French AOC varieties (Franquette, Parisienne) are available for buyers seeking premium European-origin product.
Walnut halves are graded by kernel colour following USDA and UNECE standards. Light halves (Extra Light / Light) are the premium grade with a pale golden colour, preferred for retail packaging and gift boxes. Amber halves have a slightly darker tone and are ideal for bakery, food service, and salad toppings. Dark halves are used primarily in industrial applications, nut butters, and cooking ingredients. Colour is determined by harvest timing, drying conditions, and variety.
Minimum orders start at one pallet (approximately 500–750 kg) for European warehoused stock. For direct-origin shipments, a full container load (FCL) of 18–20 metric tonnes in a 20-foot container is the standard order size. LCL (less than container load) shipments are available for smaller volumes or when testing new origins and grades.
